With their know-how and respective positioning in the market, the two charter members of the RFId Solution Center combine the technological and managerial skills that are the primary factors in the innovation process

Through the School of Management, the Politecnico di Milano guides the development of methodologies and tools to evaluate the impacts of RFId on business processes. Of particular importance is the development of a new set of methodologies for the evaluation of the effectiveness benefits, which, in this adoption phase of RFId technologies, are often fundamental to justify an investment. At the same time, well-established methodologies to assess the efficiency benefits are also implemented. These are usually incorporated into tools that simulate the processes and the economic impacts that generally constitute one of the outputs of the RFId Assessments.

The Information and Electronics Department (DEI) of the Politecnico di Milano oversees the development of methodologies and tools to compare different technological solutions, and works on ways to overcome the detected problems. DEI researchers provide analyses of electromagnetic compatibility and software for the contextualization and management of the collected data, etc. in support of the RFId Assessments.
